NBR CARBON-TEC

Optimal and residue-free use

Bäume und Berge

Forests make a significant contribution to reducing CO2 levels in the atmosphere. However, it can only do this if the forest is actively managed and the bound CO2 is extracted and stored in long-lasting products.

Through pyrolysis, i.e. heating in the absence of air, the biomass used can be utilized without leaving any residue. In addition to biochar as a CO2 storage medium, green electricity and heat as well as pyrolysis oil, a biogenic raw material for the chemical industry, can also be produced.

Biochar consists of 95 % carbon, which can be claimed as CO2 storage in the form of certificates. The areas of application range from agriculture to additives for concrete or asphalt to the field of filter technology.
